Dr. K Lalatendu Kumar completed his MBBS in 2000 from M.K.C.G Medical College, Berhampur, Orissa. He underwent rigorous training for DNB in Pediatric Surgery from 2002 to 2007 at Indira Gandhi Govt. General Hospital, Pondicherry, earning the degree from the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in 2008. Subsequently, Dr. Kumar worked as a Senior Resident at JIPMER, Pondicherry, where he independently managed all newborn emergencies, including conditions like TEF (Tracheoesophageal Fistula) and CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia).

With a burgeoning interest in pediatric urology, Dr. Kumar pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Child Trust Hospital, Chennai, from 2011 to 2012. After obtaining his fellowship, he relocated to Hyderabad and specialized in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy). Since August 2015, Dr. Kumar has been serving as an independent consultant at Anukura Children's Hospital.
