Dr Nishant Sinha graduated from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in 2005. He joined department of Pulmonary Medicine at CMC Vellore as senior House Surgeon. With keen interest in Pulmonary medicine, he qualified for Post graduate training at CMC Vellore. He completed his Post graduation in Respiratory Medicine from CMC Vellore(DipNB Respiratory Diseases) in 2010. He subsequently worked in CMC Vellore as Faculty for an year. During his work tenure in CMC vellore, both as trainee and as Faculty, he was exposed management of wide spectrum of respiratory problems ,bronchoscopic interventions, Closed pleural biopy techniques, medical thoracoscopy and thoracic ultrasound guided interventions..
He was offered Royal College of Physicians International Fellowship and worked in UK at Essex Cardiothoracic Center and Basildon University Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust, for 2 years and he gained extensive experience in EBUS, Medical Thoracoscopy, Thoracic Ultrasound guided interventions, Non-invasive Ventilation, and Sleep Medicine. During his stint in UK at Basildon University Hospital, he was seconded to Royal Brompton Hospital, London where he spent time in National Pulmonary Hypertension Unit and Interstitial Lung Disease Unit and gained more experience in managing Complex Lung Problems with Multidisciplinary Team Approach.He was awarded Certificate of achievement for successfully completing modules on “Good clinical Practice Certified course”, at Basildon University Hospital,UK.
Dr Sinha”s specialist interests in Respiratory Medicine include Home Non invasive Ventilation management, Sleep apnea, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Pulmonary Fibrosis/Sarcoidosis, Evaluation of Lung Nodules,Cough and its management, Lung Cancer diagnostic interventions and Investigation of Unexplained Shortness of Breath.He is an accomplished interventional pulmonologist with expertise in bronchoscopy, EBUS and other advanced interventions.

The doctors and staff treated my mother with absolute care and medical professionalism. Dr. Nishant Sinha was extremely good in handling emergencies and health set backs and catching problems right in time. They explain the problem and the way they adopt along with the expected outcome which helps family members to keep calm and trust their process. The physiotherapist Dr. Venkat and his team was extremely helpful to speed up the recovery process. The nursing staff were prompt in responding to our phone calls and any assistance in the night time. Thank the team of doctors and health care staff for their support to help us recover.
I recently had to admit my father to Continental Hospitals in Hyderabad because he got very sick with swine flu. We were very scared, but the medical team acted quickly and took great care of him.My father, who is 72 years old and has diabetes, hypertension, and anemia, was in the ICU on a ventilator for twelve days. Dr. Nishant Sinha, the pulmonologist, planned the entire medical care and took utmost care in detailed assessment of my father's condition. He was exceptional in managing my father's complex situation. Special thanks also go to the ICU care team, especially Dr. Nityanand Rao Patil, for their dedicated care and support. The doctors and nurses worked very hard to manage his conditions and treat the swine flu.
