Dr. P. Jagannath is the Director of the Continental Cancer Centre at Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad. One of the most well-known cancer surgeons in India, he has over four decades of exemplary surgical experience.
He is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences in India.
During his illustrious career, Dr Jaganath, has served as the Professor of Surgical Oncology at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, and headed the Gastrointestinal Department. He was the Chairman of the Department of Surgical Oncology, Lilavati Hospital, and the Chief, GI Oncology, Asian Institute of Oncology.
Dr Jaganath is the pioneer of Hepato-Biliary Pancreatic Surgery and introduced advanced techniques of sphincter conservation and staplers in gastrointestinal surgery. He is the recipient of 10 gold medals, several fellowships, and numerous awards for his exemplary services in the field of surgical oncology.
He is a member of the Council of International Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association, President of Asia Pacific Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association (AP-HPBA), and has authored over 70 publications.
