Visiting a Patient

At Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad, we understand the social and emotional bonds that we share as humans. The touch of love and the affection of our dear ones are forces we believe catalyze the healing process. We are happy to welcome visitors at designated hours and spend time with the patients. Our role is to create an atmosphere of holistic health for all our patients – and that includes access to their family and friends.

At the same time, we are steadfastly committed to ensuring the patient receives adequate rest, is protected from outside infections and that the sterile hospital environment is never contaminated by external visitors. For patients under intensive care, access may be more restricted and we trust as well-wishers, you understand our concerns. To ensure the comfort and wellbeing of the patients, the hospital has designed certain guidelines for the visitors.
When you arrive at the hospital, go to the main administration area and ask the receptionist to direct you to the patient’s room. The administration area is usually near the main entrance. If you know which ward or floor the patient is on, you can go directly there. Check at the nursing station or ward reception if it is okay to visit the patient and find out which room, they are in.

Visitor Guideline

A hospital is a shared entity and each one of our patients reserves the right to the most secured, sterile and secluded environment to be able to regain their health. In this regard, we have a set of guidelines for our visitors that helps maintain sanctity of the aforementioned principle. The following guidelines are to protect the privacy of every patient while offering visitors the maximum possible window to visit and spend time with their loved ones. We trust that our visitors will appreciate our steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, which include adhering to the following principles.

  • Please visit your loved ones at designated hours only.
  • Please refrain from bringing outside food, flowers or gifts.
  • Please ensure your visit does not disturb the other patients.
  • Please refrain from venturing into restricted areas.
  • Please refrain from using the cell phone in the hospital premises and keep it in silent mode.
  • Please follow instructions from the staff on duty at all times.
  • Please give way to patients in the elevator as they are being transferred.
  • Please refrain from using patient toilets so as to prevent cross-infection.
  • Please refrain from visiting patients if you are suffering from cold/flu or any other infection.
  • Please wash hands with sanitizer before and after visiting the patient.
  • Children under the age of 10 are not encouraged to visit the patient.
  • Please take care of your belongings; the hospital is not responsible for its safety.
  • Please abide by security rules and hospital authority protocols
  • Please do not smoke, the hospital premises are a no-smoking zone.
  • Please check the visiting hours, it varies from one hospital to another.

Continental Hospitals has entrusted its finances to a dedicated Finance Department that has to do with billing, payments and insurance claims. They are guided by two aspects – speed and accuracy. In the event of any clarification, they will be happy to help. They also handle publishing statutory statements and post results, besides handling finances of the establishment and payrolls. They observe the highest levels of ethics and are regularly audited for any incidents otherwise. Global accounting practices are followed.

This department involves itself with recruitment, employee remuneration and welfare. They make sure there are sufficient number of physicians and support staff at all times and the personnel recruited are the very best in their class. This is the department that ensures continuous and smooth operations of the hospital. They are responsible for sourcing, procurement, purchasing and maintenance of equipment, supplies and consumables in the hospital. This spreads over a lot of departments and varieties. With the state-of-the-art diagnostics at Continental Hospitals, sourcing some of the best machines and devices in optimum quantities is priority. Of equal priority is ensuring the supply of consumables – for the equipment, for the physicians and other staff, the medicines and the food. Sometimes it may involve tracking the order. Their task is also to get the best prices and deals on maintenance.

The Department of Public Relations at Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad is the nodal agency in the organization for external outreach. The department is the public-facing wing of Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad and provides the organization’s official statements, news transcripts and official data. Requests for interviews, on-site press meet, shoot etc, are handled by the personnel in the public relations office.

The Administrative wing of Aware Gleneagles Global Hospital, LB Nagar, Hyderabad is responsible for the overall operational & logistical functions. The personnel are responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the hospital and are happy to provide assistance on general operational details.
