Dr. Binayak Chanda is one of the most experienced Cardiac and Cardiothoracic Surgeons in Hyderabad, specializing in comprehensive adult cardiac surgery with more than two decades of surgical excellence. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully treated thousands of patients suffering from complex heart diseases using advanced surgical techniques and evidence-based treatment protocols.

Dr. Chanda has independently performed over 2,500 coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgeries and more than 600 valve replacement procedures, making him one of the most accomplished cardiac surgeons in the region. His expertise includes minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS), total arterial revascularization, OPCAB, MIDCAB, valve repair and replacement, thoracic surgery, aortic aneurysm surgery, ASD and VSD closure, and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).

Having received advanced training in the United Kingdom, Dr. Chanda has worked at several prestigious NHS hospitals, including St Thomas' Hospital, St George's Hospital, James Cook University Hospital, Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and Barts & The London Chest Hospital, where he gained extensive experience managing complex cardiac and thoracic surgical cases.

Dr. Chanda has also played an instrumental role in developing cardiac surgery programs internationally. He successfully established an Adult Cardiac Surgery Centre in Bangladesh under the Narayana Hrudalaya group, performing 45 open-heart surgeries with zero 30-day mortality or morbidity, demonstrating his commitment to patient safety and surgical excellence.

Apart from his clinical expertise, Dr. Chanda actively contributes to academic research and has authored several peer-reviewed publications in cardiothoracic surgery. His research interests include transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), mitral valve surgery, thoracic surgery, and advanced cardiac interventions.
