Dr Vijay Challa is the Anesthesiologist for liver and transplant critical care at Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad. An alumnus of the prestigious NTR University of Health Sciences, Dr Vijay holds an MD in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. His training & areas of expertise include – anesthetizing patients for gastroenterological procedures, Robotic and Major G.I. oncology surgeries, general surgical procedures, urological procedures, and orthopedic procedures, amongst others.

Dr Vijay specializes in the perioperative care of Liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, peri-operative care of pediatric liver transplants, major hepatobiliary surgeries, post-operative ICU care of liver transplant recipients and liver donors, pediatric anesthesia, anesthetic management of patients undergoing liver transplants, Anesthesia for pancreatic and renal transplants, Major GI Onco surgeries including CRS and HIPEC surgeries. He has been a regular feature at national and international liver transplant conferences and workshops.
