Dr Meeraji Rao Dandangi is the Senior Consultant for Cardiology & Interventional Cardiology at Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad. An alumnus of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research in Chandigarh, Dr Meeraji holds a DM in Cardiology and completed his fellowship in cardiology from Melbourne, Australia and Tuscany, Italy.
He is recognized as a fellow in cardiology by the American College of Cardiology and by the Society for Cardiac Angiography & Interventions, USA. Overall, he has close to four decades of clinical experience and is considered one of the best cardiac surgeons in Hyderabad.
Dr Meeraji has performed over 13000 procedures, which include angioplasties and valvuloplasties amongst others. In addition to his clinical and surgical experience, he has been involved in academia. His teaching experience includes – faculty at PGIMER, Chandigarh and NIMS, Hyderabad. As part of his research, he was the Principal Indian Investigation for various multinational interventional trials such as SHINE, SEPIA and TIMI25.
