Dr Malathi J

Dr Malathi J is a highly accomplished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 13 years of clinical, surgical, and academic experience, currently serving at Continental Hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. She is well-recognized for her expertise in high-risk pregnancy management, advanced laparoscopic gynaecology, hysteroscopy, and preventive oncology.

Dr Malathi completed her MBBS from RGUHS, followed by MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College. She further enhanced her surgical expertise by completing FMAS (Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery) and DRM (Reproductive Medicine) from Kiel University, Germany.

Previously, she served as Professor and HOD of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at SVIMS, Tirupati, where she managed complex cases, trained students, and led community outreach programs. Her surgical portfolio includes over 3,000 advanced laparoscopic surgeries and 500 diagnostic and operative hysteroscopic procedures.

Dr Malathi is deeply involved in women’s cancer screening initiatives, having participated in over 300 rural health camps under the “Pink Bus” project. She also established a dedicated Colposcopy Unit for early detection and management of cervical abnormalities and has been instrumental in promoting HPV vaccination and preventive oncology.

Her commitment to women’s health extends to her teaching and research contributions, with multiple indexed journal publications on obstetric outcomes, gynaecologic oncology, and minimally invasive surgery.
