Dr. Wasim Akram Syed

Dr. Wasim Akram Syed is a dynamic and dedicated Emergency & Critical Care Physician with over 7 years of experience managing some of the most complex and time-critical medical cases across emergency departments and intensive care units.Dr. Syed completed his MBBS from Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal (2014), followed by his DNB in Emergency Medicine from Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore (2018), and further specialized with an IDCCM (Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine) from the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine at Yashoda Hospital, Malakpet. He is also BLS & ACLS certified (AHA), holds NIHSS certification, and has completed the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Course (PEMC) through the ISCCM Chennai Chapter.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Syed has led emergency and trauma care operations with a strong ICU interface, supervising ICU admissions and directing the management of critically ill patients. He conducts daily multidisciplinary ICU rounds, performs bedside procedures, and acts as a vital liaison between emergency, critical care, and specialty departments to ensure seamless patient transitions. He has played a key role in standardizing protocols across emergency and ICU settings, and has coordinated medical response teams during mass casualty events and complex resuscitations.

A committed mentor and educator, Dr. Syed regularly trains junior doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals in emergency and critical care best practices, and conducts community education and Emergency Medicine training workshops. His research work, including a prospective cohort study on "Ultrasound Lung Comets vs BNP in Dyspnea Etiology" conducted during his DNB thesis at Narayana Health, Bangalore, reflects his commitment to evidence-based, outcome-driven patient care.
